Punxsutawney Area Hospital has served our families and our neighbors for generations. Each year, we continue to improve our hospital based on the needs of our community. Some of the challenges the hospital faces today include:

Maintaining its position as a community operated hospital in a turbulent health care environment.

Growing its staff and services to keep pace with the expanding definition of primary care. Adapting the hospital's facilities, staff and equipment to technology that enables many surgical procedures to be performed on an outpatient basis.

To continue the vision of Punxsutawney Area Hospital, we are expanding our facility and services. Punxsutawney Area Hospital completed phase 1 of its comprehensive facility enhancement project in June 2000 with the opening of the new west wing addition. Part of this project included a commemorative courtyard where donors were recognized for generous contributions to the hospital. The courtyard located in the main lobby welcomes visitors with a brick walkway and seating area. Each brick in the walkway is named by the donors; many in honor or memory of friends or family.

You are invited to become a part of this walkway. With a donation of $250 or more, you can choose the name appearing on your brick.

If you wish to purchase a brick or to discuss other donation possibilities the Public Relations Office at 814-938-1827 or send your donation to:
