Punxsutawney Area Hospital Visitation Policy & Hours

As the COVID-19 community transmission rate begins to increase in Jefferson County, the Punxsutawney Area Hospital is taking an active approach to keep all patients, staff, and visitors safe. The Pennsylvania Department of Health created  A Level of Community Transmission Table which identifies the current level of community transmission of COVID-19 (low, moderate, or substantial) in each of Pennsylvania’s counties. This information is being use as a basis for Pre-K to 12 schools to determine instructional models during COVID-19.The table is updated weekly on Mondays and reflects COVID-19 Early Warning Monitoring System Dashboard data from the most recent 7-day reporting period. The hospitals visitation  policy has been established based on the PA Department of Health Dashboard and their PCR, Polymerase Chain Reaction which tests for active infections, Percentage of Positivity.  Click Here to view the PA Dept. of Health Dashboard.
