Colorectal Cancer Awareness Seminar

Olga

Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States, but it doesn’t have to be.
If everyone aged 45 years or older received regular screening, at least 60% of deaths from this cancer could be prevented.

The colon, also known as the large intestine, is the final part of the digestive system. Its primary function is to absorb water and remaining nutrients and process waste for elimination as stool.

Abnormal growths called polyps can develop in the colon or rectum. Most polyps are harmless, but some can develop into cancer over time. Early detection and removal of polyps through screening can help prevent colorectal cancer.

Join Dr. Olga Zhadan for an educational seminar on Tuesday,  March 10th from  6 p.m.- 7 p.m.
In the West Wing Conference Room at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
