Punxsutawney Area Hospital to Host Women's Health Fair Featuring Free Screenings and Educational Opportunities
PUNXSUTAWNEY, PA – Punxsutawney Area Hospital invites women throughout the community to take an active role in their health and wellness during its upcoming Women's Health Fair on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
The free event will provide an opportunity for women to learn more about their health, participate in important preventive screenings, and connect with valuable healthcare resources in a welcoming and informative environment.
The evening will feature a variety of free health screenings, educational mini talks, helpful information, and giveaways. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about preventive care, early detection, and the importance of making their health a priority.
Free screenings and services available during the event include:
Blood pressure readings and bone density checks, available without a participation limit.
Lipid panel and A1C blood testing, limited to the first 50 participants.
Sexually transmitted infection (STI), HIV, and syphilis testing, limited to the first 50 participants.
Ten free mammography screenings for eligible, preregistered participants.
Ten free Pap tests for eligible, preregistered participants.
Prediabetes screening.
Breast examinations and mammogram vouchers.
Menstrual health products.
While many screenings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, mammography screenings and Pap tests require eligibility verification and advance registration.
The Women's Health Fair is designed to encourage women to prioritize their well-being and recognize the importance of preventive healthcare. From routine screenings to educational resources, the event offers an opportunity to ask questions, become better informed, and take meaningful steps toward maintaining good health.
