Phase One Completed
ED Move 2

The New Emergency Department on the PAH campus construction started in June of 2024. The ER is part of a multi-phase 25 million project. The construction specific to the new ER totals 14,000 square feet with a total of 11 treatment rooms.
The design of the unit is based upon a radial design concept to provide staff a clear view of all patients at all times and was designed based on the high level of patient volume this department experiences. The new ER has specific treatment rooms with increased safety measures available for those experiencing behavioral health concerns as well as Trauma designated room. The ER also includes an area that can specifically be set to negative pressure to handle patients experiencing any type of respiratory issue or concern. The rooms in the Emergency Department includes state of the art medical technology.
The transition to the new emergency department was completed overnight on June 18th. This comprehensive transition was led by a detailed mobilization plan which carefully and thoughtfully considered each element of the move with patient safety being at the forefront. Patients are asked to enter the Emergency Room through entrance 3 which is the Rapid Care/ Medical Arts parking lot. Handicapped parking and patient drop off is available in the newly constructed parking area connected to the ambulance entrance. Parking is also available in the Rapid Care/ Medical Arts Parking Area. PAH would like to encourage patients to watch the following instructional video to assist with understanding the new traffic pattern until the end of Phase Two: https://youtu.be/AonQ3g2THBI
