Outpatient Entrance & ER Entrance

Opens Monday January 26th

Punxsutawney Area Hospital is pleased to announce that our new Lab & Outpatient Registration area will be opening soon, representing an important milestone in our ongoing facility improvement project. This includes the new outpatient and Emergency Department Parking lot and main Emergency Department Entrance.
The use of the new entrances and space will occur for the starting at 6 a.m., Monday, January 26th.
When the new area opens, patients registering for outpatient services—including lab, cardiopulmonary testing, nuclear medicine, neurology testing/procedures, and radiology testing/procedures—will enter through the new Outpatient Entrance. Patients coming in for Short Procedure services will continue to enter through the Main Entrance. PAH will have staff available to assist patients during this time of transition.
The main Emergency Department entrance will now be open, and the general population will be directed to enter through this front entrance. This entrance is located by turning into entrance one and located directly beside the large pylon that says ‘Emergency’. We anticipate there will be a learning curve as the community adjusts to these changes, we ask patients and staff to be patient as we transition through this Phase of the project.
Punxsutawney Area Hospital extends our sincere thanks to our staff and community for their flexibility and support as we continue improving access, safety, and the overall patient experience. We also gratefully acknowledge Rosebud Mining Company for their generous donation and support, which helped make the Laboratory and Outpatient Entrance project possible. We are excited to begin Phase Three and look forward to the completion of the project.
