Residents

Punxsutawney Area Hospital is proud to welcome three outstanding new physicians to the IRMC Family Medicine Residency Program at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. We are excited to introduce our newest PGY-1 residents: Angela Franklin, MD, Zain Khalid, MD, and Tierra Williams, MD.
As part of the IRMC Family Medicine Residency Program, these physicians will receive comprehensive, hands-on training in rural family medicine while caring for patients throughout our community. During their time at PAH, residents gain experience in a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient medicine, outpatient family practice, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery, anesthesia, Rapid Care, and newborn nursery, providing the broad-spectrum training needed to become exceptional family physicians.
The residency program is built on personalized mentorship, close collaboration with experienced physicians, and a commitment to serving the healthcare needs of rural western Pennsylvania. Through the partnership between Indiana Regional Medical Center, Punxsutawney Area Hospital, and Armstrong County Memorial Hospital under Mountains Health, residents benefit from diverse clinical experiences while developing meaningful relationships with the communities they serve.
Please join us in extending a warm Punxsutawney Area Hospital welcome to Dr. Angela Franklin, Dr. Zain Khalid, and Dr. Tierra Williams. We look forward to supporting them throughout their residency journey and are excited to have them as part of the PAH family.
Welcome to PAH! We are thrilled to have you here and wish you great success as you begin this exciting chapter in your medical careers.
