Tee Up for a Great Cause

The Punxsutawney Area Hospital Foundation is proud to invite golfers, businesses, and community members to participate in the 47th Annual Dr. F.J. Trunzo Memorial Golf Outing on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the beautiful Punxsutawney Country Club. This long-standing community tradition honors the legacy of Dr. Francis J. Trunzo while raising vital funds to support healthcare in our region.

For more than 46 years, this special event has brought together friends of Punxsutawney Area Hospital and the Trunzo family in support of a common goal—enhancing healthcare for the communities we serve. Proceeds from this year's outing will benefit the Punxsutawney Area Hospital Foundation, whose mission is to strengthen the hospital through investments in innovative programs, advanced medical technology, equipment, physician recruitment, and community health initiatives.

The tournament features a handicapped scramble format, making it an enjoyable day for golfers of all skill levels. Registration and lunch will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a 12:00 p.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy a full day of golf, friendly competition, dinner, awards beginning at 5:00 p.m., and the opportunity to compete for seven skill prizes.

Community support has always been the driving force behind the Trunzo Golf Outing. Businesses and individuals can participate through a variety of sponsorship opportunities, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Hole Sponsorships, Beverage Sponsorships, or by entering a foursome. Donations of raffle prizes and cash contributions are also welcome and help make the event a continued success.
Teams are encouraged to register early, as the registration deadline is August 7. Checks should be made payable to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital Foundation, and additional payment options are available.
Whether you're a returning participant or joining us for the first time, your support makes a lasting difference. Together, we can continue the tradition established by Dr. Trunzo while helping ensure Punxsutawney Area Hospital remains equipped to provide exceptional care for generations to come.
